I purchased my spouse the Fitbit sense when it first came out. I think a month after the 1-year warranty expired, the face fell off entirely to the point that it was not repairable because the ribbon cable broke off the mainboard.
The watch is supposed to be water resistant, but it fell apart right after spending a day at Great Wolf Lodge waterpark.
I contacted Fitbit support, and they mentioned that, unfortunately, there was nothing they could do since the warranty runout. The best they could do was to send via email a discount code of 35% off to order a replacement from their website. However, the discount code was only valid for 30 days which my spouse didn't pay attention to and forgot about it.
When I finally had the money to order a new one a month later, I couldn't apply the discount code. I contacted Fitbit support to request a new discount code, but they wouldn't honour my request.
I cannot believe that a multi-million dollar company can't even honour a new code. For that matter, putting a time limit on a discount offer of 30 days is ridiculous for today's economy. A year would be more consumer-friendly and achievable.
That said, I will never purchase another Fitbit product ever.
