Fitbit Sense factory reset, won't turn back on after

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My sense hadn't synced in 11 hours. I did a manual shut down on device and my phone, didn't help. I un-installed the app, didn't help. I decided to do a factory reset and now the device won't turn back on, and pulsates every three seconds. I put it on the charger in hopes it will start working. I un-paired the device from my phone. This is where I am at now.

**ahem**, that sucks. I thought I brought this on myself by forcing the factory reset.

I have had exactly the same situation.  Been on the chat line for the last 90 minutes and basically I get the impression that they might get round to getting a fix but there is no idea when and no way of letting us know when it is available. I feel like contact my local radio station,  they love chasing down companies who provide poor customer service.

They haven't even had the courtesy to reply to my email. My Sense is now a paperweight.

Unfortunately because of a known bug, a factory reset can sometimes fail and the watch becomes unusable. There is no fix for that.

If you are having problems setting it up there is also a known bug in the Fitbit App.

I am assuming it is a bug in the app as thousands have the same issue. Rather remiss of Fitbit to advise a factory reset if that can make the watch unusable.

I did the same thing, I was advised to do this by Customer Service, my Fitbit Sense is now useless.

I was advised by Mod that syncing issues are fixed. Users need to download Fitbit App version 4.28.2 (Android)  and all should be fine. I am unable to locate this in Playstore, has anyone else managed to download it and confirm the syncing issues are resolved?

I am a new member of this class of Sense users with a new ‘paperweight’.  It seems that something should be done to make it right. Seems that Google/ABC has some bright folks and deep enough pockets to stand by products that were in perfect working order prior to this situation of their own creation. No more Google products if they cannot do the right thing with a product they’ve crippled.

Do you recall the steps to do the factory reset? I’m trying to do a factory reset on my sense because it is stuck on the logo.

Don't do it. It will be useless if you do. Maybe let the battery run dead.
