Fitbit Sense not receiving text messages but receives calls?

My Fitbit sense is brand new and will not receive or show notification for text messages from my iPhone 11. I have tried everything from restarting the app, the phone, turning things on and off, and re-setting up the sense on the Fitbit app but nothing works. Any suggestions or tricks? I am so frustrated.

I'm having the same issue as well. I think I am going to return it tomorrow. It should not be this hard.

Check the notifications in the control settings on your iphone.

I did, have tried every recommendation around and still nothing. I think I
