Fitbit Sense stopped working after swimming

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

My Fitbit Sense stopped working within few minutes after I started swimming. I dried it after coming out of the swimming pool but still it's unable to start and looks kind of dead. I read some support threads and tried to restart it by long pressing the button for 10s, but doesn't work.

Can anyone help on this?

Thanks,

Mandar

I’ve seen recommendations to put it in rice for a few days in efforts to dry it out. If that does not work, call customer service (if still under warranty). Sounds like the seal failed, which happens. I would suggest not swimming or showering a Fitbit sense.

Hi, @mandarf20 welcome to the community. I swim daily with my "Sense", you should not be experiencing any difficulty. May I suggest you try a restart again? squeeze the side button for about 20 seconds and release it when the logo appears. After a further 30 seconds, it should be up & running again. Have you been able to sync your phone app? if so note the state of charge next to the battery icon in the top right of your "Today" screen. If the battery is depleted you need to investigate why. There are lots of posts about this issue, briefly check the 4 little pins on the charge cable puck, if they are not in order you need a replacement cable which you can get from Amazon, alternatively talk to "Customer Support" using the chat facility or phone for a prompt response.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

Hi @Clove6060

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have put the Sense in rice. But i still see small water droplets inside the watch at the charging location.

Hi, @mandarf20, You should not experience any water ingress while swimming. You should talk to "Customer Support" using the chat facility or phone for a prompt response. You do not mention how long you have had your "Sense", you may be covered by the warranty

Cheers
