I bought my wife a FitBit Sense a couple years ago, and I remember at that time it was a nightmare trying to get it to sync with the app. Luckily, there have been only a couple cases where her watch lost it's sync and we had a hell of a time getting it to sync again, but we've usually been able to eventually get it to connect. But not this time...no, no, no, no, no.
What's even more telling about this, is that when I log onto these forums, hoping to find someone with a similar problem that ultimately posted a fix for it, I find exactly the opposite. I wish I could say that I'm surprised to see such a common issue that still hasn't been fixed after all of this time, but why would they when you could just make the customer pay more for one that actually works...that's really how it works, right? IDK, maybe I'm just being paranoid.
Soooo, here we are. We have a FitBit Sense that simply will not sync or connect to the Bluetooth. And yes, we've tried all of the things people on here repeated over and over again, as if it isn't the software or the device that is the problem. We have, rebooted the Sense device, and the phone, and tried force quitting the app, clearing the app's cache, reinstalling the app, along with various ways of trying to get Bluetooth to connect, which all fail stupendously, because, as I mentioned before, the problem is probably not the phone, and restarting and clearing app cache doesn't address the underlying problem of either a poorly developed app, or bad Bluetooth chips. However, we know that the FitBit Sense uses the Qualcomm QCC5124 chip, which is found in ubiquitously in wireless audio from Sony, Senhausser, and so many others without issue, so we can say with a fair bit of certainty that the chip is probably not the problem, which means of course the app itself is likely the real problem.
But it the app is the problem, and one could simply direct their development team to tackle this, obviously very problematic issue preventing customers from using the product as it was intended, then why do we not have a proper fix for it after all this time? Well, I already know the answer to this question, as I've mentioned earlier, and that is $$$.
So, it is for this reason that neither I nor my wife will be continuing to purchase FitBit products in the future. Don't get me wrong. I get it. It might make more sense and be more profitable to ignore existing customers for the prospect of potentially luring newer customers, but I don't roll like that, and I think most people wouldn't appreciate that way of thinking either.
That being said, if anyone from this wonderful community has a working solution to the "FitBit not syncing" issue, that does not involve doing the things I've already mentioned trying, then I would be glad to hear it., otherwise I'll just start looking for a new smartwatch. I mean, it would be one thing if FitBit did one thing way better than anyone else, like for example, in the early days when FitBit was leaps and bounds more accurate with its biologic sensors than anyone else at that time, and they had more fitness and health based apps that were not found on other devices, but that's simply not the case anymore. Withings is one example that comes to mind, where their sensors are actually recognized by the FDA for their accuracy. The only thing that stands FitBit apart from any other smartwatch these days, is the software, plain and simple...and they clearly have trouble getting even that right...so, I ask, why even bother?

I hear you! I have been waiting 4 weeks for a chat with the support team to connect! I finally got through all the steps to reach the actual support area and am still waiting for it to connect! I am so angry that Fitbit/Google are just ignoring everyone who has this issue. 😑

I'm still having issues with mine and thought now is the time to change to something else. The Garmin Venu 3 looks really good but then I got on the forums to see what issues people are having and lo and behold, same thing - Bluetooth keeps dropping out. Might just go back to a dumb watch - they're a lot less trouble.

I agree with your assessment; it does seem that Fitbit drops support for their products after about a year or so, and I never had the impression that their code was superb to start with!
I probably need a Garmin for my swim workouts, anyway ...
