Fitbit Wallet question

I am new to the world of contactless payments, so I apologize if this is a dumb question: In order to use the Fitbit Pay service via the Wallet app on my Sense, do I also have to have my phone with me? (In other words, is the functionality of that app tied to the phone, once a credit card is fully set up in the app?)

Thanks in advance....

Phone not needed nearby - it is all between NFC chip on tracker and the payment machine.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

You just have to check that your bank is supported as not many are.

Thank you! My bank actually is one that’s supported, and I have successfully added my card. I just couldn’t figure out whether I also needed to have my phone with me in order to use it from my wrist, but if the person below who responded is correct, then I guess I don’t....which I hope is true. I am looking forward to trying it.
