Fitbit app saying Sense Controls connected on phone but not on the watch

So I have been researching everywhere trying to find answers for this issue but I don't seem to have found one.

Can anyone explain why on my Samsung 20 FE the Sense Controls, under Bluetooth, shows as connected but when I go on the Fitbit Sense settings it shows as unpaired?

Will the sense controls only be paired with the sense controls on my phone when I receive a phone call (I ask because this is what I have seen elsewhere)?

Hi @Huffand -  yes, Sense Controls are used primarily for Music controls and Calls. The on watch Sense Controls display may not be a problem. Sometimes it is necessary to configure the Bluetooth entry On, then use On-Wrist calls in the App to enable it.

The Sense Bluetooth entry is the one used for pairing and notifications [and announcing calls probably] and if not correctly setup will be an issue.

Things to check is you don't have battery saving enabled on the phone, that you aren't using other devices to connect to the watch.
