Fitbit google wallet - Citi credit card support in Australia

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I was trying to add a new Citi Rewards Platinum credit card onto my Fitbit Sense's Google Wallet. Unfortunately the process didn't complete with the following error.

"Couldn't finish card setup to pay in stores.
Unfortunately your device won't be able to make contactless payments using this card. To resolve this contact bank"

Upon contacting the bank, realized this card is actually supported on Google Wallet on mobile but not on Fitbit as a device.  Refer below,

https://www.citibank.com.au/aus/mobile-wallets.htm

A link sent by Fitbit support confirms this. Citi bank in Australia not supported. Refer below,

https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/google-apps/banks?sjid=10860901910704758062-NC

Also noticed, on a some other thread a Fitbit moderator confirming, after the google wallet transition Fitbit now accepts Citi cards .  Refer to that thread below. Can someone please confirm this ?

Can Citi cards be added to Google Wallet on Fitbits ? A feature request and moderator comments much appreciated!

@deendilan   Individual banks decide if they will participate in Google Wallet for Fitbit or not.  Many more banks participate in Google Wallet for Fitbit than Fitbit Pay.  The US bank list is much longer.  If your bank isn't on your second link, the global bank list, then it doesn't participate.  I think your third link referred to a specific Citi card available through Costco in the US.  Cards are country specific.

Feature requests on this site can't help you.  Requests to your bank might.
