Fitbit is not counting steps in some of my Challenges

Hello this has been a long standing issue, I am in multiple challenges per week every week at least one of the challenges does not add the steps that I’ve walked.    I have called fitbit too many times to count and the keep saying it’s because the folks in the challenge are in a different time zone.   This is total BS because I walked over 22000 steps in one challenge yesterday and my steps still state that I have only walked 78 steps.   Yesterday the 78 steps kept changing form low 200s to know 78.   I just got the new Sense but, this issue happens with all of the fit bits that I have ever had.   This is so annoying because if my steps actually registered I would be ahead of everyone in this challenge.   I am in three challenges this week but just like every other week always one that does not register my steps.   What is wrong with fitbit and why after all these year would they not have this issue fixed.   I wear both fitbit and apple watch and by far Apple is a far superb product. Fitbit fix the issue I am tired of calling you folks to complain.    I just got this Sense and will likely return it because you can’t get this right!  And yes some of us are very serious about our challenges!

The challenges are affected by the time zone that the CHALLENGE STARTER is in. That's why you have different counts. It doesn't matter what time zone you're in, what matters is the time zone that the person who started the challenge is in. It has nothing to do with your device or dashboard.
