Hi I got my new Fitbit sense after the Fitbit ionic recall this year. My watch has been fine but since the last upgrade. I charge my watch at 8am every day at work and by 8pm the battery now is down to 25% so I have to put on charge again so it will record my sleep etc through the night.
.surely this isn't working as looking on the forum the watch should last 4-6 days on one charge. Can anyone advice if I need to return this as faulty and hope a new one will not have the same issue.

I'm having the same problem. Battery used to last 4 - 5 days and yesterday I took it off the charger at 10:35 am and by 2:30 pm it was completely drained and it turned off. Brightness is on dim, and any other features that they suggested have been turned off; Always On Display etc. It also has tracked my sleep at all for a couple weeks. I'm so frustrated. This is also my second one because the first one I bought to replace my Versa 2 was super glitch so I said something immediately and they sent me a new one. WTF

Same here, it started awhile back for me. It was still in warranty and they just sent me a new one right away. However... very coincidentally the "new" one that was sent to me died 1 week after the warranty for the first one ended which was only a couple of months with the new one. The new ones screen stopped responding to touch so became useless. New one does not carry its own warranty but only until the original would have expired. So now I'm left with 2 non working senses in less than 1.5 years. 35% discount offered but to be honest why would I waste any more money on a product that is un reliable and clearly has major issues. Garmin is looking very attractive these days.

Same problem happened to me just recently. Out of nowhere (I haven't done any setting change, absolutely nothing), the battery started to drain fast at a pace of about 10% / HOUR. Continuously. Before that, it fully discharged in about 4 days. I have the Sense for 11 months now.
I tried to shut it down / start it up, it didn't fix the issue.
After a lot of hesitation, I eventually went ahead with the brute-force method: a Factory Reset, and that fixed it. I kind of hated doing that, but I ran out of solutions and I didn't like that I had to charge it more than twice a day.

I'm having the same problem. I was using my Versa 2. The last update murdered my battery and watch performance. I had issues with each fitbit watch I've bought but wanted to give it one more shot before switching over to Samsung.
So, I bought a Sense 2 yesterday after the HR monitor on my Versa died. My Sense was fully charged before bed last night but had only 33% remaining when I woke up this morning! All non essentials were disabled as I set up the device so they're not draining the battery.
Good to know this is a systematic issue and not device failure. If this isn't resolved in a couple of weeks, I'll have to return the watch and switch to Samsung. Too many issues with fitbit products these last few years.

They really have. I've used fitbit products for quite some time. Things seemingly went downhill after the Google acquisition. I hate leaving all my data behind but it is definitely time to move on.
I hadn't considered Garmin! Thanks for the indirect suggestion, Adventureman!

I also have the feeling it's a software issue on the Sense. This problem started to happen in the last months, and I think it was after a software update happened.
I complained through Support, and they offered to send me a new Sense (which they did) without giving me any explanation on why I'm having this issue.
I didn't even unpack the new Sense I got I am convinced it'll have the same problem. Some software bug that enables some high consumer sensor on the device when it shouldn't, is my guess.

@SunsetRunner just curious, have you tried to do a Factory Reset on the device, and then manually disable the GPS sensor (from the Exercise app > any exercise > Settings)? And then keep it as is, don't install anything else / do any other configurations. Did the battery life improve back to as advertised (6-7 days on a full charge)?
I've done that 3 times so far, and for a while that solution acts like an aspirin (temporary relief) - the battery life is good again, before the issue starts to manifest again after a full charge. I'm tired on doing Factory resets though.
