Fitbit since red and green lights won’t turn off

Fitbit since red and green lights won’t turn off. 

I take the watch off and set it down and the red and green lights blink nonstop for hours. Maybe never turn off. What’s the fix?

Tried setting it on its side, on its face, face up, nothing gets the lights to turn off

@Toospin does it register any heart rate when it's face down? Have you tried rebooting device by pressing the left button for 10 seconds until Fitbit logo appears?

I've noticed this after I've just woken up.  It just takes a little while to recognise that you are awake.  When it does the red light should go off completely and the green light should then behave as normal.
