my  1.7 year old Sense malfunctions continuously, in conjunction with the new google update

i checked that i had purchased it with mastercard, which doubles the manufacturers warranty.

contacted my mastercard online and searched for extended warranty benefits

a full credit for purchase has been credited back to me

now i will shop for a reliable fitness tracker.

i hope this helps someone else who feels cheated by Fitbit/Google Failure

@royalle  - thanks for posting useful information. What proof did you have to give MasterCard for getting the refund?

Did you make a special purchase via the card and what is the standard warranty period?

they want receipt. copy of fitbit warranty, pic of fitbit, estimate of repair (achieved online) emailed in folder.

just follow prompts on mastercard site where you pay online under extended warranty. it was very easy and they did not quibble.

standard fitbit warranty is 1 year
