GPS suddenly measuring my walk as much shorter than it actually is

It's been fine up to a day ago and very close to what my phone gives me. But  now it's a lot less. The only change I can think of is that I'm much slower due to a strained calf muscle. But that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

If you don't see a map of your walk, the GPS was not turned on, and distance was calculated by your stride setting.

Hi @DougWeller what does the map, in the fitbit app look like? Is it close to the path you walked?

I don't think I can see maps in my app. In any case I haven't been able to walk since because of my calf. Frustrating, but what's worse is that from 12 to 7:30 this morning I did over 100 steps according to my Sense in the short walk from my bedroom to the toilet, which I did only 3 times. In the next 6 hours I've done only about 200 more despite walking a lot further. Even my sense shows  0.2k, which must be much more than 300 steps.

Thanks. I didn't realise that GPS wasn't always enabled and that I had to go into Exercise.
