Google Assistant will no longer be available on Fitbit Sense and Versa 3

We want to share an update regarding Google Assistant on Fitbit Smartwatches.

Over the next few weeks we will be progressively phasing out Google Assistant on your Fitbit device. You can learn more about this process here. This change means that Google Assistant voice control for activities will soon no longer be available on your Fitbit device.

We understand that changes can be disruptive, and we value your feedback. We remain committed to continuously improving your Fitbit app and developing exciting new features.

You can still continue to use Amazon Alexa voice assistant in certain languages and countries on your Fitbit devices. For more information check, How do I set up a voice assistant on my Fitbit smartwatch?

The voice assistant feature was one of the main reasons I upgraded to the Sense from a Charge 5 -- that has barely worked the past year or so (more often than not, I had to "reconnect" the account every time I tried to use it), and now it's going away entirely. --------

Posted a reply, about how pathetic Google/Fitbit is for actively/deliberately removing functionality that people paid for, AND trying to prevent people from discussion the issue or alternatives from companies that don't deliberately hobble their products... and that got removed too, this time without even so much as the "word choice" flimsy excuse.

Fortunately, I've saved screenshots of that & the previous post for an article I'm currently working on -- so feel free to remove this one too mods, since it also contains information that your corporate overlords would prefer to have swept under the rug.

I literally got the Fitbit for Google Assistant features plus I wanted a fitness tracker. Now the main feature I purchased it for no longer works and it has really messed up my daily routine. Like where do you get off being so trivial to how others chose to use the device. You do you and we'll do us. Alexa and Apple suck **ahem**. Bye!

Ya Google Fitbit mods love to remove anything that does not fit their narative or goes against their eco-system. I'd love to have Fitbit the company back without Google as Google just runs so many things into the ground and they are like oh we don't care that millions were using that, hey we have this new things that cost twice as much and does half the **ahem**, no go buy it and leave us alone. FYI Google Gemini sucks too, I have a Pixel 9 Pro and half the stuff I need it for will not work that did work and still work on Google Assistant. Simple things like "Hey Google, turn my bedroom lights on 60% brightness with white light" responds on Gemini with sorry I don't understand. or "Hey Google, turn my living room TV on" Sorry I don't understand. So many more examples of things that work on Google Assistant but not on Gemini for a product that was rushed to market and is in it's infancy.
