Google Assistant won't stay connected to my Sense

Good afternoon My problem is for some reason with no changes made to the phone or the app My sense regularly loses connection with the Google Assistant.

I can connect it within the app and it will do my reminders I can ask it questions but after a short time no more than 30 minutes The function will no longer be available. The watch will give the status that something went wrong and it may work if you try again.

Obviously it doesn't work.

I have reset the phone, reset the app , reset the watch. All permissions are as they should be and Bluetooth is functioning just fine. I'm not sure what's going on and what is causing the issue.

I continue to get other notifications messages and calendar events with no issue it's only trying to use the Google Assistant on the sense where I have this issue.

Please advise as this is a key function for me.

My app updated to 3.82 three days ago and my GA has been working ever since! When I get too far away from my phone, it disconnects and it reconnects again, on its own, like it's supposed to, when I get back in range.

Me too. Three days now!

I'm running Android 11 and Fitbit 3.82 on my phone, and the assistant still refuses to stay connected.  The fact that Fitbit knows this is an ongoing problem and is not doing anything to fix it is disconcerting, at best.

I've been a Fitbit user since 2015.  My daughter tried to convince me to go with an Apple Watch (she bought me the Sense as a Christmas present in 2021) and I told her that I was happy with the products I had used so far.  I really can't say that any more.  If this attitude of "yeah, it's broken but 🤷‍:male_sign:" is going to be the attitude going forward, my next purchase will not be a Fitbit product.

Hi all, thanks to all those who posted that Fitbit App version 3.82 seems to have resolved the disconnection issue.

@BrianWW  - your issue seems different, can you please make a separate topic.

OK, since I went to the 3.82 last Friday, Assistance has been connected the whole time. Looks like you folks found the issue. Thanks.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...but 3.82 is NOT the complete fix!

After I upgraded to it. I like most others were encouraged that Google Assistant would actually connect through Bluetooth again for the first time in over a month. However, the happiness soon faded. It is back to almost as bad connections as before. It will "randomly connect", however previous observations about the watch reconnecting again automatically when back in Bluetooth range just isn't happening for me. In fact, the ONLY time I can guarantee that Google Assistant will work is if I unlock my phone, then open the Fitbit app, then use Google Assistant on my watch. Wow, that is the opposite of being "convenient". Please note - I don't have power saver / energy saver turned on my phone, so that's not the issue..

Doesn't Fitbit do any regression testing when they release a new version of the app to make sure functions that were working 100% properly before don't get broken? I guess not 😞
Like simply roll back the coding in Google Assistant / Bluetooth connectivity in the app to the version in early April when this wasn't an issue for anyone!!!!

This issue was fixed with 3.82 for me too, but after applying the June update on my Pixel 7 the problem is back.

Google assistant now keeps disconnecting again. Re-adding it via voice assistant works temporary but then it disconnects again.
