Google Assistant won't stay connected to my Sense

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Good afternoon My problem is for some reason with no changes made to the phone or the app My sense regularly loses connection with the Google Assistant.

I can connect it within the app and it will do my reminders I can ask it questions but after a short time no more than 30 minutes The function will no longer be available. The watch will give the status that something went wrong and it may work if you try again.

Obviously it doesn't work.

I have reset the phone, reset the app , reset the watch. All permissions are as they should be and Bluetooth is functioning just fine. I'm not sure what's going on and what is causing the issue.

I continue to get other notifications messages and calendar events with no issue it's only trying to use the Google Assistant on the sense where I have this issue.

Please advise as this is a key function for me.

Does anyone know if this counts as a fault if the watch is still under warranty? Could it be returned for.a refund? This was a key feature for me.

Hallo @Emkooij - GA known bug

This is an English only forum please post in English.

You may have received a refurbished replacement in worse condition than your original watch or you didn't complete the switchover properly of phone and watch - for the non Google Assistant issues please make a separate post.

Hi @bcv1306 - after the initial Fitbit 45 day period for refunds warranty does not entitle you to a refund. It isn't a hardware issue either.

@Emkooij- the current Google Assistant issue is not a watch problem.

Thank you so much @bcv1306 for liking Simple4Timer

If you haven't tried it, from the free SimpleClockPro clock face, you can access the timer direct from the clock face with a simple double tap on Seconds. It will also run in background to the clock face.

Well, I had hoped that the update would be a solution, but no such luck.  On the bright side, the constant bluetooth disconnects have slowed to a trickle and Google Assistant stays connected better than it did.  Now it "only" disconnects four or five times a day as opposed to every fifteen minutes.  At least it's a step in the right direction.

I'm having this issue too with my Sense. I reconnect it with Google and just a day later it disconnects again. So sick of seeing "something went wrong, but it might work if you try it again". I try it every day a few times a day. I feel like a crazy person.

I have an email thread with Fitbit customer support about this issues that's about 10 emails long at this point. They have completely stopped responding to me on this issue.  At this point I feel they have given up on this and are hoping we all just accept the fact we no longer have a feature that was promised or we'll all just submit and buy new devices. Which is disappointing because the Sense 2 does not have Google Assistant and the Pixel watch does but is pretty much useless due to its battery that can't even make it 24 hours. Sad to say Fitbit is not what it used to be since Google took over.

I've also been having this problem on my gen 1 Sense for about the same amount of time and it's getting frustrating. I've checked all my battery, etc and everything else is connected (notifications, etc) like all posters below.

Hi All, a new 3.82 version of the Fitbit App is releasing starting today - once it appears in the Store for you try and see if it resolves the Google Assistant disconnect problem. It could be a week before it is fully available to everyone. No announcement of content has been provided yet.
