Horrible sense battery life

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a fit bit sense, that does almost 50% overnight, causing me to have to charge it daily.

My screen isn’t always on, I don’t really use gps.

I feel like it’s unfair that we have disable features for the battery life to even come close to the 6 day claim.

I upgraded from the versa lite to the sense in hopes for better battery life but it’s so much worse. My versa lite lasted almost 4 days and now I’m stuck with this sense that I have to charge every day. I’m very disappointed.

Hi @Terenc3 - this is probably a feature over use issue. Snore detection and SpO2 tracker app can use as much as 4 of the 6 days. See How to resolve the Major issues causing short battery life.

I understand that, it’s just unfair that we have to disable advertised features in order to get advertised battery life.

do you have the screen as always on?    We have 2 Senses, and are getting about a week between charges and wear them religiously.

Thankfully the two features above are not particularly useful (at least for me). With spO2 I have a finger tip reader which will give on demand readings, unlike the Sense's average night time reading. As for snore detection, it's pretty useless if you share a room/bed with someone as its unable to determine exactly who the snoring is coming from. I heard someone mention it was even detecting their dog snoring.

What type of features do you use. Do you use the spo2 tracker?

@N8teGee-  I had to laugh about the dog!

Like you I removed the SpO2 tracker app and use a Bluetooth finger tip monitor instead and don't use snore detection, [I have 3 dogs, so imagine the potential confusion!]. I get over 5 days battery life.

@Terenc3- having the SpO2 tracker app installed will get you the readings in the app without needing an SpO2 clock face.
