How do I change the time zone on Sense?

I live in ET but my new Sense defaults to Chicago. I have attempted to manually change to New York time through advanced Settings but it won't stay, keeps popping back to  Chicago.

In the Fitbit App

 

click profile photo [top left]

in App settings check what you have put

 

if you opted for automatic time zone then it gets it from the phone.

 

May be your phone is not set correctly?
