What is the best way to clean the back of the Sense? I'm reading rubbing alcohol. Is that ok?

Hi @deamo5333,
I just use a toothpick and gently scrape around the edges and back of the device.
If you want to clean the band, use water and a GENTLE hand soap to clean it if you have a woven band.

@deamo5333 I disagree with the advice offered by @DramaQueenDiva. Fitbit's Wear and Care link states that you should use a soap free cleaner like Cetaphil to clean bands. There is also a list of things NOT to use to clean the device itself. Fitbit says you can use rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush to clean the charging contacts, then wipe dry. I use a very soft baby toothbrush to clean my contacts.

I did have issues with my Sense not recording sleep scores. Discovered I wasn't cleaning the sensors with rubbing alcohol and soft toothbrush often enough! D'oh!! Now working well.

In some cases cleaning has to be done often as the battery charge points are prone to collecting stuff in the holes.
As mentioned by @DramaQueenDiva a wooden or plastic tooth pick may me needed to clean the holes and as @LZeeW says soap is not recommended.
Regular attention probably can avoid all sorts of issues.

I've done everything and it isn't charging. What is the next step after a proper cleaning doesn't work? I'm hearing impaired and depend on the vibration for communication, alarm clock, everything! This one is barely 6 months old. 😞 Help!!

Check the pins on the charger itself. They should be raised. One (or more) may have gotten pushed in and unable to make contact with the indentions on the back of the wearable device. This happened to my charging cable and Fitbit replaced it. (No idea how the contact got pushed in though)

I tried all of this. But it is still nit charging. So I just placed an order for another charging cable.
