Hi @lisaES,
As far as I know, logging steps manually has never been an option. However, you can set up Mobile Track on your phone, in which case, the phone will act as your pedometer. Just go through the setup process like you normally would, except when it asks you for your device, scroll until you see "Mobile Track" and follow the prompts. You will have to leave your app running in the background all day until you can get to your watch. Then set up the Sense as a new tracking device, and again, follow the prompts.

You're welcome!
Mobile Track has saved me more than once, so I always make sure I have my phone charged just in case I need to use it!

Hi, @lisaES , unfortunately the information that you have been given above is incorrect. You can manually log steps. You should be aware that manually logged steps will not count towards challenges, and also if you are wearing your Fitbit at the time (I appreciate that this is not relevant in your case), manually logged steps will not count towards any challenges you may be involved in.
To log steps manually on the opening screen of your Fitbit app click on the exercise icon. On the exercise screen click on the stop watch icon top right and select “log” . Choose “walk” and enter the time period where you did your walk. This should add the manually logged steps to your daily total.
If you delete the manually logged activity all steps automatically calculated by your Fitbit will be restored - obviously if you were not wearing your Fitbit at the time then the total will just revert to the previous number before your manual log. You can test it out to see how it works.

Hi @Julia_G
I think there’s s bug in my app. I’ve tried log as you describe but it does not work. I can’t even search for activities in the log 😔

Hi @lisaES @what operating system are you using (iOS or Android)?

No you can't manually add steps @Julia_G Lets say you forgot your watch and your daily routine would have been around 3000 steps while you were away. Your answer is monkey around manually inputting a fake walk workout until it estimates 3000 steps?
Of course if @lisaES simply went for a walk and back without the watch, then manually entering a workout would work. But they didn't state that was the case.

I am sorry to disagree with you @TommyIzzo , but you absolutely can log steps and I have explained the process for doing so. As I mentioned it will not count towards challenges - so no one else is “cheated” - it is simply a way for someone who forgot their Fitbit to have an approximate record of their activity for the day, if that is what they want.
I don’t actually understand why you might have a problem with this. Surely steps that someone else logs to get an approximate record to help them keep track of their activity doesn’t affect you in any way?

@Julia_G I don't care what anyone does, but it's not simply adding steps. You can't go anywhere in Fitbit and add 10,000 steps, as you claim. What you have is a work around. That'll also count towards your weekly exercise goal, right?

@TommyIzzo , yeah, it is absolutely a workaround - a workaround for someone who didn’t wear their Fitbit! For best results, wear your Fitbit!

Me too, and I haven't been able to log steps manually. I have only had my Sense for one week and twice now I have forgotten to wear it. The IOS iphone app allows you to ADD data, but sadly not Sense (I have tried all instructions, but there is no way to LOG it.Also I don't know whether you have noticed, but it is very inaccurate with step count - I did read this on a credible review before I purchased, but had no idea it would be so inaccurate (hundreds of steps out).
