@Gwangen   I have a different opinion from both @Marrrmaduke and @WilsonFitbit .

  • The Workout option on the Sense/Versa 3 is not a GPS exercise.  You won't be able to get a map with that choice.
  • If you are wearing your Sense, it has already captured your steps, calorie burn, etc.  If you add the exercise after the fact, you might get duplicate data or your data will get overwritten with incorrect data.
  • If you do nothing, there is a good chance that it was auto recognized by your Sense, using one of the auto recognized activities.  You get exercise details, but no map.  You certainly don't want to add it after the fact if something has been recognized.
  • If you want a map, you need to use a GPS exercise.  I recommend Hike.  You can't rename it, but I believe it is your best choice if you want a map.

@Gwangen there's no cross-country skiing activity per se. You can start regular Workout activity on your Sense and then rename it within fitbit app to Cross-Country Skiing. That's what I do.

Hello @Gwangen Welcome to the Community Forums! Thanks for the input @Marrrmaduke

You can also manually log cross country skiing activity on the Fitbit App. For this, I recommend checking the following link:

How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Keep me posted if you have questions.

I also use hike option to record my cross country skiing activity.  If I want to post my ski activity to Facebook for instance, I go to "Log Previous" and fill in the formation from "Hike", it breaks it down, calories etc.

The only issue is that then you have a hike and ski both recorded, but simply delete the ski info and you keep the map plus info.... Or if you're like me and ski same circuit, you don't need the map, so keep the ski info and delete the hike, that way it's not double-counted.  Pretty disappointed as not including winter activities on the Sense makes NO SENSE.  C'mon Fitbit/Google....... you have the tech..... Step up and help your loyal users.  Please don't make me an Apple convert.
