Had the same issue with riding a motorcycle. I bought a Fitbit sense, just got it yesterday. I believe I will be satisfied with simply being able to turn the Fitbit off and then back on when I arrive where I am going. It takes about 5 seconds to power it down and just pushing the side button to power it back on when I get there. Easier than taking it on and off and it actually works. They're 100 off this week I believe still. Check it out.

Thank you for this response. I have been trying to figure out how to turn it off when I am riding my motorcycle. I guess unfortunately, I will miss out on all the steps I take, when I’m off my bike. My versa 3 tracks my steps when I am riding.
Thank you Scottie! I have had this issue while riding for a long time. So glad you have provided a work around! 😊

May be also if you select driving as an exercise it won't record steps but you still have the full functionality of the watch which if you don't want you can swipe right to get to Quick Settings and turn on do not disturb.
