Please forgive me but I am completely bewildered by recent changes,
I used to go to my Fitbit dashboard (web browser) and download a tiny CSV file each month with my last 30 days of fitness data (weight, sleep etc).
I was then unilaterally forced by Google to switch to a Google log in and can no longer access my (monthly) data. I have tried following tips on here and elsewhere but cannot find any joy. If I go via Google Takeout I get a totally stupid massive file that takes hours if not days for them to prepare and then doesn't have the data I want.
🙏 Can anybody give me an idiot's guide to get back to being able to download a tiny file of monthly data, please?

Is there anyone who can offer me any help or guidance/direction, please? 🙏

Just here to +1 your question - I haven't switched to the google login but the legacy fitbit app is no longer available on the web either (mobile only). So while in theory I can download a csv to my phone, in practice it simply doesn't complete the export job even when I limit the date range. Feels like yet another great service google is actively ruining, which makes me pretty upset since I've been on fitbit for nearly a decade.
