If you have a tattoo the heartbeat monitor dosent work

So my wife bought me the sense as an upgrade. Excited to wear it I set it up and wore it for 2-3 days realising the heart beat monitor was not working, or the sleep. I messaged the chat and was told it’s because I have tattoos on my wrists? 
what a pointless upgrade.

Hi @Jascurtid  seems it's hard when having a tattoo to get the proper readings. One member on the forums said the Inspire 2 was able to detect the heart rate thru the tattoo when a previous Fitbit hadn't been able to do so. People have mentioned putting a white tape (similar to surgical tape) under the sensor and being able to pick up the heart rate. Do you have tattoos on both arms where the sensors would sit?

2 layers of nano tape will do the trick, at least this worked for me.
