I recently bought a Fitbit sense for 1 purpose. To listen to music as I run. I work offshore on ships, and am often without cell service or internet for weeks at a time. I purchased the sense because I was mislead into believing that I could store and play music. It is possible but that will be extra money for another service...? Get out of here. I just spent over 300$ and the capability is there. This isn't about one particular app, but I should be able to use the functions of my own service to do what is advertised. I want to upload my own, already purchased music files, directly to the device. And why do I need a WiFi connection to transfer files? Let me do it over bluetooth. Fitbit moderators... Please if I am wrong in anything that I have brought up, help me fix it. Is there any work around, or are you going to try and nickel and dime me?

Hello @Pman1492 I'm sorry that you are disappointed with your purchase. The requirement for a paid music subscription is listed on the Fitbit Store page. Scroll to the bottom. The Versa 2 can store personal music. You need wi-fi to transfer files because of the file size and transfer speed.
I actually think you will be disappointed for a bigger reason -- your job and lack of cell service/internet. Your Sense syncs using Bluetooth, but you need an internet connection in order to sync. When you sync, data goes to your Fitbit account and isn't stored on your phone. Your Sense can store seven days of detailed information and 30 days of basic information. Your job will keep you from using your Sense (or any Fitbit model) to its full capabilities.
You might want to return your Sense.

Interesting, I have a Fitbit Ionic, which has the ability to store music, I'm kind of surprised the Ionic's replacement, the Sense, does away with this capability.
Just putting this out there; my Ionic is about a year old, are you open to a swap (with some cash as a sweetener)? Given I never use the music function on my Ionic, I personally could care less if the Sense has that ability or not.
