TL;DR : is the Fitbit sense as good as the website says it is? And is the 2year protection plan worth the money?
I'm hunting for a good watch, this one keeps popping up, and when I compare it to some other watches (Fitbit versa 3, galaxy 4) this one seems to come up on top.
Is it worth the time and money?
They're a ton of pros I like with this watch- battery life (6+days) , charging time (12min), sleep and stress tracking, not to mention the call/text/app features and the ability to pay with the watch! But, are those actuate?
And, I read its water resistant/ swim safe, if that true? Or do I have to put it on a water lock mode?
the whole reason I want a watch is my new job.
i work in a deli, the only clock is small and I usually can't read it without leaving my station. I also wash a ton of dishes, so something that can be underwater momentarily and not get destroyed is a must.
If it dose require to be put on a water lock mode, is the time still see-able? Or is it just a black screen?
the other question:: is the 2year protection plan worth the $60? Is the membership worth it?
with the purchase I get 6months of membership, and then the standard rate of $10/month.
I can decide if the membership is worth it, since I get 6months free with the purchase, but what about the protection plan? is it worth the $60? Or is it just a waste of money?
furthermore, with the reasons listed, is there a better watch? Is the Fitbit sense even compatible with a Google Pixle 3a?

I bought a Sense Sept 2020 and it had been working well until a few days ago after a firmware update and a swim. It died, as have many other people's recently, and the only concession Fitbit has offered is a 35% discount on their store and have so far not considered it a problem. I would expect a $330 (price at the time) device to last more than 2 years. The device is unreliable as are the updates. If you feel like gambling on a $$ watch, go for it. Otherwise I would suggest looking at another manufacturer.

If you don’t care about the highly inaccurate HRmonitor than go for it. Id stay away though. Not happy with it at all.

You know, I should really delete this post / my account, with more digging and talking I've decided on the Samsung Galaxy 4! I was going to go to the store and try on the 5, 4 classic, and 4 to see what fit the best on my small wrist but sadly I've just tested positive for Covid so I'll either wait to try it in or just order it online.
I've heard very little good about the Fitbit watches, so a day after posting this it turned to a no
