Is the heartrate issue many people have reported fixed with OS 5.1?

I would say it has improved. When I compare it now to my OH1 arm strap (which was always pretty close to my previous Ionic) during exercise, it is definitely more aligned. I have the feeling it detects a rise in hr faster than before. However, Desfit (YT) promised to do a test within 2 weeks and the quantified data scientist (also YT) promised to do a new test once new firmware was out. Can’t wait to see the results.

I don't see any significant change in heart rate accuracy. It is still very accurate in measuring heart rate during sleep, rest, walking, running and cycling. But it is still a hot mess during weightlifting, hight intensity interval and circuit workouts. Average heart rate is up to 20 bpm off, while the difference can go up to 50 bpm during the individual data points.
Edit: conclusions above are made by comparing the data to Polar H9 chest strap.

Yeah, I feel it is a bit of a improvement. When resting it seems slightly more accurate. It still jumps a bit, (eg: when lifting rist to see it still starts of at a high number, eg: 72 then quickly reduces down to say 61, I think this maybe more a screen updating issue) but no where as much as before
I've tried wearing my Fitbit Charge 2, Sense and my Generation 1 apple watch
It seems on average that it usually works out at Charge 2 lowest, AW in the middle and Sense highest.
So I'm resting, C2 will say 56, AW 57 and Sense 58.
I could understand the C2 under reading.
