Is there a way to keep heart rate on Sense screen?

The roll your wrist to turn on the screen function isn't reliable enough and I don't like having to use two hands during a cardio workout. Sometimes even the tapping takes 3 or 4 tries. Thats just too cumbersome in the middle of an energetic workout and a bit dangerous if you're doing one where you need your arms for balance.

I found a nice app that shows it but the screen still turns off. I tried some Always on clock faces that show it but the screen reverts to a clock face only.

I really need something I can just glance at and see. it also be great if I could get an elapsed timer on the same face. ANYTHING out there like that?

Is Fitbit really so worried about the battery life that they won't give US the users the ability to decide how to use the device?

1 Start the exercise app

2 choose your exercise but don't start it.

3 swipe up for settings

4 scroll to 'middle' setting and make sure heart rate is selected.

5 scroll a bit further down and toggle "always on display"

Have you tried one of the clock faces with the HR focus and turn the screen always on by swapping left & selecting it. You may have tp pay for it though if none is found developed by fitbit to your likings.

HI @flyingsod - there are clocks in the gallery, such as SimpleClockPro, that has a temporary clock face always on feature [so HR is visible] and also has an Addon stopwatch and timer accessed directly from the clock face.

However, bear in mind that the HR is often not very accurate when moving and the vibrate on the Sense is rather feeble.

I havent noticed one with an HR focus. the ones I have tried always remove all the info for the always on face. Ill def check for an HR focus face though, thanks.

I did notice the innacuracy. I dont think it reports in real time is part of the problem. I think it reports an average of recent readings. Thats just a guess from seeing the thing in action while wearing a medical grade cardiac monitor. After I have an even sustained effort for a few minutes the Sense reading matches the other HR sensors I can see during my workout. If I slow down or speed up though I see huge differences.

That simpleclockpro sounds perfect, Thanks for the suggestion.

Not only there is a lag but in mu case it certainly very inaccurate but I'm glad you worked it out though. Check out the this forum for others complaining about it.
