Lots of trouble with Fitbit Sense sleep score

I've searched google and basically can't find a solution to this problem.  At night, if I wear my Fitbit while watching TV it thinks I'm asleep then for some reason thinks I wake up when I actually go to bet so will have my time asleep as something like 8pm to 10:30pm.  If I delete that and manually add my time asleep it won't give me a sleep score.

BUT if I just take it off and literally not wear it, it STILL thinks I'm asleep (somehow with zero movement and no heartbeat, how stupid can an algorithm get?) so I'm still forced to delete an incorrect sleep time and manually add when I actually slept and, again, it won't calculate my sleep score for when I manually add a sleep log.

So it seems like there's no way to get a sleep score unless I'm doing something active right up until I go to sleep or I have to remember to jiggle my wrist every few minutes throughout the night.  Is there any way to force the app to calculate the sleep score from a manually entered sleep log?

Hello @Sean_PS and welcome to the Help forum.  The Fitbit sleep algorithm uses a combination of lack of activity and heart rate variability to track sleep.  While it is very good, it isn't perfect.  I also get sleep recorded when watching TV.  The best way to deal with this issue it to edit your sleep log.  When you go to the sleep details for a specific entry, tap on the three dots in the upper right.  Use the option to edit your sleep log.  Adjust the start time to when you actually got into bed.  Don't delete the whole thing and try to re-add it.   As far as I know, manually added sleep will always give sleep patterns.  I searched the Help articles for the reference, but I can't find it.

I don't have an answer as to why you get sleep recorded when you aren't wearing it.  I have used several different Fitbit models.  The green LEDs are supposed to turn off when you aren't wearing your Fitbit.  I wear a Versa 3 (same operating system).  The Versa 3 LEDs seem to stay on if it left in certain positions.

But the take home message is: edit an erroneous log.

My experience is on the contrary. Sometimes it doesn't record my day time naps, which last for one hour or so.
