Mindfulness tile crashes and EDA sessions won't sync

Good afternoon - 

 

I received my Sense on 9/22, and use the EDA scan almost daily, either for a quick scan or a guided session. For the first few weeks, all worked with no problems. In the last 2.5 weeks, this has not been the case. 

 

- Guided sessions completed on the Sense are not transferring to the app. It started with delays - it would take 2-3 for the guided sessions to show up in the app, after several syncs. I tried to restart the watch, and it would sometimes show then. It would miss days, but got most. Now, the guided sessions don't show on the app at all. I do complete the session, and click the done & got it button on the watch face when I'm finished. 

 

- The EDA/track your mindfullness tile won't open on the app. When I try to open it, it crashes the app. It opens for a second, then blinks off the screen, the app closes and restarts. 

 

I have taken the following troubleshooting steps: 

 - Removed the EDA app from the watch, synced

- Logged out of the app

- Restarted the watch

- Logged back into the app

- Added the EDA app back to the watch, synced

 

I've also restarted the watch multiple times. 

 

Any other suggestions?

Hi @slconline15. Welcome! It's good to see a new face around.

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps tried on your Sense and the Fitbit app. It's odd that your EDA Scan sessions aren't syncing and just to confirm, does the same happen with the rest of your data (steps, distance, heart rate, etc)? Also, have you double checked if your watch and the Fitbit app are updated?

While you've tried some steps, please give a try to the following.

  1. On the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Sense > Apps.
  2. Tap EDA Scan and verify all permissions are enabled. If you see an update for this app, download it.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Restart your watch one more time.
  5. Tap on the EDA Scan app on your Sense, complete a Quick Scan and sync to see your details in the Fitbit app.

In regards to the Mindfulness tile, may I know the model and OS/software version of your phone? On the Fitbit app, tap Edit at the upper right corner and tap the X next to the Mindfulness tile to remove it from the Today screen. Once that is done, force quit the Fitbit app, open the Fitbit app again, tap Edit, add the tile and try opening it again.

Thanks for the permissions info, @LizzyFitbit . I did check that and all the permissions are on. 

 

Since 11/25 it has actually been working much better. The guided sessions are showing up now (quick sessions always seemed to show up, only guided sessions were missing), and the details are showing in the Your Journey list now. I'll keep an eye on it.
