Hello all,

How do people register their workouts?

For the last 6 weeks I have been activating my spinning classes through my device, in the exercise section. Then let fitbit do the rest. But yesterday fitbit didn't register the workout at all, yet it registered the active minutes. 🤔🤔🤔?

When I asked fitbit support, they said that I shouldn't need to activate my spinning class in my watch as fitbit should recognise the activity automatically. Then why are all the exercise options there in the device?

Anyone have experience with this?

TIA 😊

@Jools13 Everyone does things differently, but if you want to make sure your workouts are 100% tracked, then you should start them from your Sense. If it's important for me to have the workout data, then I'm going to track it from the device to be safe. It doesn't take much time to start it from the watch and you can create a workout shortcut if you do a specific exercise all the time.

Thank you again Heather for coming to my rescue. 😊

I completely agree with you. I thought that it would be best to start desired workout through its specific icon in the sense.

When it didn't register in my app at all yesterday I contacted fitbit help, and the fitbit Moderator told me that I shouldn't do that, as the device activates it itself, and by manually activating the workout I cancelled the data out. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤨.

Even though its been working just fine this way for weeks.

The advice I received from an official didn't feel  credible at all.

@Jools13 That screenshot does look like it was literally cancelled after immediately starting. During you spinning, were you looking at your watch and checking the numbers?

Hi eezeepee,

Yes, it looks strange. Funny thing is my spinning class was 09:30. I started swimming at 10:22. There is nothing in my exercise page to suggest I took a class at 09:30.

Yet if you go into my active minutes section..........

09:27 - 10:17 I did an intensive activity.?

I guess that was my spinning class. 😁

And yes, I was checking my heart rate throughout the class. 🤷‍:female_sign:
