Hi, my husband bought me the Fitbit Sense for Christmas. When charging I got the message which popped up in red ' slow charging'. I changed plug points and wall sockets in each room to make sure there wasn't a fault in whichever one I used. It charged and has been fine, although it does show a red 'slow charge' message most times. This past weekend it stopped charging completely so I googled faults and wiped it clean etc. Still nothing. Then I noticed one of the little metal points on the charger is shorter than the rest. Could that be the issue? I still have the receipt but cannot get hold of anyone at Fitbit. I am about 3 days without it and feel like I have lost a limb. Can someone please assist asap? Thank you from Fitbit Lover!!

Hi there, @LizelvZ.
Thanks for the detailed information and the time taken while troubleshooting your Sense. I understand how you're feeling about this experience and because the issue is with the charging cable, I'd recommend contacting our Support team one more time as they have specialized tools that will allow them to evaluate your options and bring you back on track. They're available via chat and via phone, so please click here to get connected with them.

It's all too common and as yet unaddressed by making better hardware. One of the pins stays sunken in and won't make a connection. Many of us have needed to purchase a new cable after only a few months. An example of previous frustrations:

But, in that thread, there seems to be a solution. I'm not sure how good they are, but I have orderered what is supposed to be much, much better than Fitbit's own charger at a fraction of the cost.
In this post by Guy_ https://community.fitbit.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/13486706 he mentions A more sturdy one. That takes you to a page with a couple of images of the after market charger that hopefully is more sturdy. Clicking on the images takes you to the ordering page. I'll find out when I receive the one I ordered if they are truly more sturdy.
It's not ideal, and you'd wonder why, when so much more robust ones can be made at a fraction of the cost, Fitbit would stop making a little cash cow like a frail charger.
If you do happen to order one, note that the two options for "color" are actually two different lengths, not colours; either 30cm or 1m. As I said, I can't vouch for them yet, but the reviews look mostly positive.
