My clock comes up Bright but quickly fades to almost unreadable.

I have to press the button to display the time, it comes up fairly bright but quickly fades to almost unreadable. My previous Fit Bit would display whenever I twisted my wrist.  The Senses will not.  Batter at 100 Percent.  Is there a fit?

Even on dim, my Sense is bright enough in regular indoor lighting. Maybe it's the clock you have selected?

There's an option in the quick settings for automatic (twist to wake). On the main screen, swipe right, and tap middle watch icon to toggle between manual and automatic.

 make sure it is not in sleep mode.

Try Swipe left edge to the right to get to Quick Settings

and grey out the middle top icon.
