My sense heart rate monitor is way off.

I've owned the Sense for a little over a year and I noticed the heart rate monitor at times will run between fifty to sixty  bpm over what it should be. My Sense will register one hundred twenty bpm and other devices I have (pulse ox, BP monitor, etc.) all register in the 60's. What's really odd is once I start the other devices, the Sense decreases rapidly to match the other devices. I don't use the Sense as a workout tool. I have heart failure, so the main uses are pulse and ECG, so the heart rate accuracy is critical.

Does anyone else have this issue and is there a fix for it? I love my Sense, but it's useless if it isn't accurate. Thanks.

@Michigan_guy   My background is physiology with a bit of biomedical engineering tossed in.  I'm not sure there is a "fix" available.  The optical heart rate monitor looks for pulsations in tiny blood vessels just below the skin.  Without going too much into the engineering, it's possible for the sensor to double count your hear rate and it sounds like this might be what is happening to you.  I get this with my Versa 3 and they use the same sensor.

You say you don't use your Sense as a workout tool.  Do you do heart rate checks at rest or do you look at it throughout the day during normal activity?  If you are checking it at rest, make sure you are really at rest.
