Need help with charging Sense and battery life

I have always been happy with my Fitbit.  I had one of the first models and have upgraded each year with the new product.  I purchased the fitbit Sense on the day it was released.  I was very excited for all the new features and especially the battery life.  New features are good, but I am so disappointed in the battery life and charging issues.  The battery does not last the 5-6 days as advertised.  I feel lucky if I get 3 days.  But the main issue is the charging.  I set it on the charger overnight and nothing happened.   I went from 31 percent to 29 percent.   I took it off the charger and replaced it and checked it about 20 minutes and it went from 29-about 45 percent.  I get the slow charging message. If I take it off the charger every 20 minutes or so, and re-attach it, I can in about 2 hours get to a 60-70 percent battery life.  I have read all the threads on battery charging issues, and it seems as though no solution has been revealed.  The fitbit Sense is really stressing me out.   Please find a work around for the charging issue.

Did you try a different USB charger?

yes.. numerous different chargers.

I read through the thread with people having the same issue.. and have tried everything that was recommended.  I have it currently had on the charger for over 90 minutes and it still reads no new increase in battery life.

Join the MANY disappointed users/owners club. Fitbit is going to get off the pot and do some over-the-top firmware updates, if that is going to fix these multitude of issues folks are seeing. I hope this "webinar" the big dog is doing here tomorrow night is not just a advertising presentation of the Sense and all the things advertised that it's not doing, but an explanation of why Fitbit is taking so long to fix all these issues!

@ckcrosslin what clock face are you using? Have you tried a different one?

Is the screen brightness set to automatic?

Do you use the GPS? If so it is recommended to charge that night.

I am using the spectrum clock face.  I have changed it, but like this one the best.  My screen brightness is set to normal.  I don’t really use the GPS.

Hi @ckcrosslin when you say you don't really use GPS does that mean you don't start an activity as Sense also has auto detect and will start to track after a period of time (normally 15 minutes).  You are using a Fitbit clock which is good as a lot of 3rd party ones do drain the battery more.  Have you got the AOD (always on display) set to on as this will really drain the battery?

One last try would be to reset the watch and start again from scratch.
