New Sense just keeps telling me to download the Fitbit App. Cannot proceed, get clocks, etc

This replacement Sense will not go further than telling me to download the Fitbit app.  I have done this, registered the internet connection, and the watch seems to have connected.  But watch face still asks me to download the app.  I cannot get a clock face or any of the features expected.  What do I do?

Hi @DavidTilbury  - in the Fitbit App, click profile photo and  "+ set up a Device " to install it.

Make sure it is on charge and near a WiFi source.

Used mobile phone instead of mainframe computer and connection made - still not able to access the full range of clocks I had in previous Fitbit watch.

@DavidTilbury - that's normal, not all clock faces are ported to the new geometry of your watch.

Anything you find under Clocks in the Gallery tile should work.

You can enter search criteria at the top to help find what you are looking for.

When the Sense was setup, did you also update the firmware? If not, then set the Sense up again.

I have the same issue. I've removed the device, and re-added multiple times...Same result: The wifi update is unsuccessful. Also attempted the update over bluetooth, but no luck. The watch is paired to the phone, and I can update the wifi network successfully.

Sense version: 7.5.8

 

Any other tips/tricks to try?

Hi @xerxesb - what is the issue? Are you trying to install a new firmware or Clocks? And where did you find that version, it doesn't correspond to the app or watch versions?

If it is clocks that doesn't work try not using WiFi on the phone and also check you have a direct internet connection as this can sometimes block access even if you are connected. See details in no internet connection
