News app does not show contents anymore

The news app on the Sense does not show contents anymore after a factory reset and reinstalling the fitbit app on my phone.

If you restarted the phone, try

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Apps Tile

MY APPS

check if there are apps that need updating

Verify the news app and its settings

 

Also check that all the relevant setups were done following the reset - that the watch is properly syncing.

It worked for one week until one week ago. Then it stopped refreshing with new contents but it was possible to show contents from other providers but not with newer contents than from one week ago. After a factory reset and a reinstall of the fitbit app on my android phone it did not show any contents at all anymore.

It would seem the re-installation of the watch was not done properly.

Try removing the Sense from Bluetooth on the phone, restart both phone and watch and

then + set up a device again in the Fitbit App.

 

If that doesn't succeed probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

I did a real clean reinstallation except that I did not remove data from my account at fitbit.com. I am afraid that some data about the installed apps are stored there and cannot be removed individually.

Probably a step was missed.

You don't have to delete data from the account. The whole point is to have maximum continuity.

 

If you think you did the process correctly probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

Without doing anything my list of news providers became completely empty, also for editing. Reinstalling the fitbit app didn't help. Logging out and in again didn't work either. Reinstalling the news app on the watch neither. Maybe this list is requested from a server that does not respond.

I just installed this app, living in the US.  No providers listed, so unable to select or edit list.  Very disappointing for a native Fitbit app.
