Not measuring steps and km correctly!

Just went for a walk and run. Showed in exercise section 5 km. But in main screen at the top of the app it  shows 6000 steps and 0.7 km. So according to the app under a kilometer equals 6000 steps lol.

Hi @JP100, did you sync your tracker to your app after your run and walk?

Yes it is synced. The watch and the app have the same info. Fitbit does not seem to know the basics of calculation. How is it possible the app shows a ran 5 km, but the dashboard shows under 1 km and 6000 steps........

What Activity did you use to record your session? Isn't it that maybe you used workout?

Yes I was using the Outdoor workout. It recorded 5.2 km and 0 steps. It showed the route and the GPS was on. The exercise was transfered to the main dashboard as 6000 steps and 0 km. The 0.7 km i mentioned previously was probably before the exercise. The main dashboard should have all the info from any exercise you have done.

I have had a lot of problems with Fitbit.....

If i have known how inaccurate the watch is I would have never bought it. Maybe 10% inaccurate is acceptable. Back to the drawing board.....

So this wasn't a bug but a feature. The outdoor workout is conceived for sports such as kayak, skates and others and when using it the distance is not ported in the dashboard (similarly to the bike distance). Next time use the Run Activity

Thanks. This was the first time i used the outdoor workout. But still does not make sense. The outdoor workout counts the km not the steps, but transfers steps not km to the main dashboard.......

@JP100 Outdoor Workout doesn't add distance to your daily goal. It's how it's designed. The steps are counted regardless and are added to your daily steps goals (even if the activity isn't step-based but the watch somehow recognizes step-like wrist motion).
