There are four pins on the square battery that attaches to the back of the watch. One of them is shorter than the other. I have tried cleaning the back of the watch and the battery with alcohol, but it still does not work. I have only had the watch less than a month. It used to work fine, so perhaps the pin was knocked or hit in some way.

This is a common problem.
You can get a replacement charger under warranty.
Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you with that..
