Physical button issues

The side button on the Sense unfortunately is the worst thing about the watch for a number of reasons. The main reason why I don’t like it because my wrist will press it constantly. And it doesn’t have to be on the side. It can be pressured to be pressed by your wrist underneath the watch itself. This wastes battery and is in my opinion the main reason why people complain about the battery life. To put it in perspective, during the day, when watching myself to keep this from happening, under normal use, the Sense uses about 10% battery life. At night, over 8 hours, it uses 25% due to my arm and wrist pressing the watch. Night mode doesn’t help, because the watch can’t ever be set to turn off this button.  Can we please have a true night mode where the button cannot be activated?

Night time SpO2 and Snore report are big drainers of battery.

See page 20 of manual and consider sleep mode or DND-do not disturb

I have sleep mode and do not disturb from 11:00pm to 6:30am. I do not use SPO2. I will turn off snore mode and see if there is a difference. I am doubtful that will fix the problem with the button and constant watch squeeze.

@Egjergji the side button is a touch button, not a physical button that can be pressed.

Agree that the button sucks. If I wear my sense snuggly on my wrist, just flexing my arm the right way or bending my wrist will activate the button. It's always activating google assistant. I have to wear it looser than I want sometimes. Worst part about the watch.

The button has prematurely initiated the pausing of activities including runs and walks or opened the weather app and stopped an activity for crying out loud. It suck to get through a 2.5 KM walk to work with an awesome pace only to get to work to see the watch asking if you'd like to resume your activity after only having captured less than half a K in the first place. The button is utterly useless and the battery life watch itself sucks too. Versa 2 was great and like others have said, the Sense was supposed to be a massive upgrade but it turns out to be a true downfall of monumental proportions, my next smart watch will NOT be fitbit

You are partially correct, unfortunately the button certainly can be pressed, it presses against my wrist and activates weather or pauses/stops activities all the time, as a matter of fact, I actually have to press quite hard to get it to respond when I need to but when don't want it to be activated, it seems to be a touch button just fine!! As a runner in a cold climate, I am geared up with all kinds of clothing and as such the pressure around my wrist can cause the button to be activated both against the skin or against my shirt sleeve - I have tried to tuck my sleeve partially under the watch in an attempt to stop the button from activating but nope, no luck. This is unfortunately a useless tracker in my current experiences!
