I just updated my sense to the latest firmware. 44.128.6.17  but I can't find anywhere in the forum where I can see what changed, or if there are new features.   Are these posted somewhere?

Hello @Drtolson and welcome to the Community.  Fitbit has this Help article: What;s changed in the latest Fitbit device update?  Sadly, it hasn't been updated yet.  Another thing that happens is Fitbit will post a blue banner thread at the top of the Sense and Versa 3 forums with details.  Users have been getting the update for a few days now.  I hope they post something soon.

Hi @Drtolson  - most often all you get is 

"This release includes bug fixes and improvements."

Unfortunately this doesn't help you decide whether to install the update because you don't know if any problems you have currently have been fixed. 

And in which case if your watch is working fine otherwise and the update doesn't fix it is probably best not to tamper with it and have the risk of new problems.

I had been having trouble getting my Sense 2 to Sync with the Fitbit app on my Pixel 6 Pro (Android 13 beta) via Bluetooth for quite some time. I had to do things like constantly restart the phone, force stop and restart Fitbit app, turn Bluetooth off and on again, reboot Sense 2 to get them to Sync and even then it would just do a temporary Sync and then they would lose the Bluetooth connection.

 

I couldn't do the firmware update with that Pixel 6 Pro because it wouldn't maintain the connection between the Fitbit app and Sense 2. I tried using the Fitbit app on a different phone and was able to update the Sense 2 firmware.

 

After the update, my Pixel 6 Pro (Android 13 beta) now Syncs really well with my Sense 2.

Fitbit updated this additional Help page: What's changed in the latest Fitbit OS update? and refers to this as Fitbit OS 5.3.1.  This update includes an important security update.

I often wait a bit to update some devices.  I don't hesitate when updates include security updates.
