Resting heart rate change around beginning of March 2022

Has anyone else noticed a large difference in their resting heart rate that started around March 2022.  Both my wife and I have noticed that this calculation seems to have changed by 5/6 BPM more since then, consistently.   All numbers of the daily graph are generally the same, the RHR number it reports is higher.  Any comments are appreciated.   Btw, customer service says it’s know issue , but I don’t trust them

@GioC   I wear a Versa 3 and my husband wears a Sense.  They both use the same heart rate monitor.  Neither of have a RHR change like the one you describe.

I also have reservations about the CS answer.  Community Council members are more "in the loop" about known issues.  It's news to me.

I can't agree more, Community Council members (some present members and some past members) look living very much their Fitbit.

Just coming here to ask the same thing. I went from a resting hr in low 50's to low 60's. Mine started about May 14. Have you found a fix?

No. I get conflicting reports of this being a known issue with no fix yet, but no help from Fitbit. To be honest , I broke down and bought an Apple Watch. The app isn’t as easy to find all the data I like, but it’s there. Also, I find the heart rate data to be smoother, no big jumps or declines, RHR has been more normal and also if it does change it’s a point up or down. An interesting fact, medical resting heart rate does NOT include sleep time in it’s calculation, this is how Apple calculates it, Fitbit uses sleep time

Hope this helps

Same here.  Starting around March 2023, my RHR went from 63 or 64 to 68 or even 69.  In several years of wearing Fitbits it had never been so high.  Oddly my minimum heart rate each day was either unchanged or increased about 1 beat from its usual.  As of today (May 19) it seems to have gone down a beat or two back toward its normal level.  But there has been no difference in my daily minimum rate or in the pattern while I am sleeping.  Looks like they just changed the algorithm without informing users, which is unfortunate for those of us trying to keep track.
