Restore apps settings and configurations after watch Factory Reset?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Because of this Fitbit bug  I was forced to factory reset of the Sense.

After this all my apps configuration and settings (e.g. location settings for Weather app, or barcodes numbers in Barcode2 app) are lost.

I'm very suprised, because I don't reinstall phone's Fitbit app, and moreover I readded the same watch to account.

So not restoring watch apps' settings and configuration after factory reset is by design?

Or there is a way to restore this settings? How?

Factory reset loses all settings; back to as from factory, except perhaps firmware updates intact.

I myself never suggest factory reset, and recommend it only when specifically told to do so by a Fitbit Support person.  I have read of too many cases of people trying factory reset and then not being able to get device come back at all, though that might be only for specific device types.

Restart , on the other hand, is always safe and loses no settings or data.

Unfortunately, I think the terms 'factory reset' and 'restart' often get confused and used interchangeably, though not saying so by you.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
