Hi
I'm interested in this watch being a heart patient practising a lot of sports. I read however the negative in depth review of DC Rainmaker and wonder how the company copes with this quote:
"Now – here’s the question: Can Fitbit find a way to make all this make sense? Maybe.
But as is often the case each year around this time, Fitbit promises features that’ll be rolled out “later this year”, or “early next year”, “in the coming months”, and it’s rarely the case those hit those timetables. Fitbit has made a huge slate of those promises with the Fitbit Sense. ECG is “coming in October”, the Health Metrics dashboard for free users is “in the coming months”, the Google Assistant functionality is “coming later this year”, and answering phone calls “Winter 2020-2021”. And undoubtedly there are others.
As a data-driven kinda guy, I wanted to like this watch when I first saw the feature set. But from either a deep data standpoint or a simplistic ‘just tell me what to do’ standpoint, it simply fails to live up to the promise, in name or otherwise."
Any thoughts of the company and of the users?
Thanks for reading and answering.
Ed

Half baked and not ready.
I feel duped. I have a Versa I"m happy with, but thought some of the newer features would be interesting to explore.
I don't think I've ever encountered a device rollout like this; not just fitness devices but devices/appliances in general.

I think critiques on the watch performance and accuracy are one thing. However, I'm not sure how one could possibly feel duped. The company stated in marketing materials for the device that some features wouldn't be available at launch. If you're pre-ordering a device, you're saying you're willing to risk these features potentially not getting rolled out for some time. Especially seeing as I believe Fitbit is kind of noted for doing this.

That might have been over the top. Let's say that so far it hasn't lived up to being a whole lot better than my Versa.

That's fair. I received mine today and will be using it for a few days to see how it performs. My initial thoughts are that it seems to be fine. I'm not bothered by any perceived lag of the OS and my RHR seems to be fine. The button is terrible though.
That said I initially do feel that it's definitely overpriced.
