Scrap Fitbit Pay and provide Google Wallet on the Fitbit Sense

I'm putting in the request as per the title.  Fitbit/Google, are you listening?

I'm sorry, but Fitbit Pay is dead and hasn't been adopted by enough banks to make it a viable option.  Very poor support for it in Canada.  Just create the Google Pay/Wallet app for the Sense and other NFC Fitbit devices and be done with it.  Everyone will be happier as a result.  Please.

Hi @michae1a1ee - did you check this link for bank support in case there is just an error with Fitbit Pay?

The Sense 2 has Google Wallet but is missing things you have on your Sense currently so it is unlikely that it will be made available on a Sense original, as there is another watch with it on.

It makes zero sense that this hasn't already happened. Fitbit is extremely slow to provide any practical updates to their watches.

Hi @SunsetRunner - very few manufacturers retrofit old models with new features found on newer models which would lose them sales of the newer models.

@michae1a1ee as @Guy_ mentioned, Google Wallet is available on Sense 2 and Versa 4 but it isn't the same product as on mobile phone. Many users (including me) found out that their bank cards are not supported on Fitbit although they are supported on mobile Google Pay/Wallet. Some users found out that their cards, previously supported by Fitbit Pay, now are not supported in Fitbit's Google Wallet (and there is no way back). So be careful what you're asking for 😏

I just got a new Sense in December, purposely avoiding the Sense 2 due to things that has been removed from it.  Did a lot of research ahead of time and knew about this situation.  I wrote this thread because I wanted it documented how bad Fitbit Pay support is, and how I believe everyone would prefer just having Google Wallet.  Now, with @t.parker 's comments about the state of Google Wallet on the newest Fitbit watches, I guess I need to add to my request to say scrap Fitbit Pay AND fix the functionality on Google Wallet for watches.  I'm trying to be careful with what I'm asking for! 🙂

It's adding a feature to a software update, something most manufacturers do to keep their customers happy and make them want to continue buying their products.
