Sense 2 won't update

My Fitbit battery went from 39% to almost nothing within a few minutes yesterday afternoon. After a full charge all I got was that an update was necessary. It won't move past that message. I have tried several times since then to update my Sense.

Each time the update will run at least partially before failing. One time the update downloaded and was installing when it failed.

My phone app update page stays open and the Fitbit is right next to the phone the entire time. They are never moved. So that is not the problem.

Please help me figure this out.

HI @gmorath - where did you get the message an update was needed? This is not normally the case and if there is a prompt of an update available in the Fitbit App you can ignore it for now.

It was on my watch. I went through several restarts to see if that would help. All app downloads failed at different points.

I ended up contacting support several times. They had me go through a replace device option that ended with the same result.  End of story, Sense is no longer operable.

My Sense is 2÷ years old, so out of warranty.  Time to shop for a new device.

Hi, Were you able to resolve this? I am facing the same issue and cannot get my watch out of the "need to update" screen

I was not able to resolve this issue. Since my watch was out of warranty I
had to buy a new watch. But Fitbit did give me a discount on a new device.
