Sense Battery Life

Why does the sense have such an awful battery life? I was noticed it is significantly worse than the versa 2. I’ve had the sense since October.
Last night right before I went to bed my sense was at 21%. 8 hours later I wake up and it’s completely dead. I keep my device on manual screen wake, and the dimmest brightness.

Is there anyway to fix this issue? I’m about ready to give up on fitbit.

Hi @Spo123,

Ironically, I looked up this issue for my Mom's Versa 2 last night.  The "Wear And Care" article mentioned that you should turn off "All Day Sync" if you have it on.  You could also try changing Clock Faces, I find the ones that are manufactured by Fitbit seem to have the least impact on battery life.  If you have notifications on for anything like emails or texts, you could turn this off too.  They also suggested setting your screen to "Dim" which you have already done.  They also suggested turning off features like the SPO2 and heart rate monitors. Finally, they suggested turning the Fitbit off when not in use.

@Spo123 If you don't use it, I would suggest uninstalling the SpO2 app on your Sense. Unfortunately this app/feature is a big battery drain. With the app installed I get 3-4 days battery life, without it I manage about 5-6. Obviously if you rely on this feature, what I suggested isn't an option.

How many days charge would you say you get on average? Do you use GPS often?

mine last exactly two days i use the sp02 face I walk 2 hours every day with gps on I put it in sleep mode when I go to sleep maybe this helps? my watch face is set to always on also I have it set to sensitive sleep and I have big vibrations on still get 2 days of use out of it. I knew for a fact watch wouldn't be as advertised for battery life every company lie's threw their teeth about that. But two days is good for a fitness tracker in my opinion.

I’ve uninstalled the SPO2, hopefully that helps. I only use GPS once a week maximum. I get about 3-4 days. I guess it’s not awful, but my versa 2 I’d get 7 days out of 1 charge! And I’m actually using my fitbit less right now than when I had my versa 2. I guess that battery life gets eaten up by these “new features”

Haha well I get more than 2 days so maybe I shouldn’t be complaining, but I don’t use it for all the features and as often as you mention. When I had the versa 2 it usually lasted 7 days. I only get 3-4 days with the sense.

@Spo123 The spO2 certainly makes quite a difference in my testing, so I'm hopeful the same will apply to you. If its not to much bother, it would be great if you could keep us updated as to the outcome. I'd be interested to see if you have to same experience as I have.

Thanks.
