Sense Exercise Mode -pausing exercise

My Sense keeps pausing during various exercise modes. It used to only do it with yoga and I assumed my wrist must have been touching it at the side button, but lately even with pilates, spin, and walking it pauses randomly. At the end of my classes, I look at my Fitbit to end workout and see it's been paused and sometimes hasn't even covered 5 minutes of the workout. I don't touch the screen or the Fitbit at all after starting the workout.

Is there any way to prevent this? Is this happening to anyone else?

Thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing this inconvenience with your Fitbit Sense watch. 

Before considering other options, please make sure to try the restart procedure described here and check if you continue to experience the same problem with the watch constantly pausing your exercises, this has been helpful to other users with similar difficulties.

Restarting didn't work. And wearing it higher in my arm / wrist doesn't help. Fitbit needs a "lock" option when in the exercise app. Too easy to touch wrist when working out & pause it without knowing it. If you could lock it in exercise mode until you're done with workout would be most helpful.

I would recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers: Lock screen/buttons during exercise for all Fitbit devices. This is helpful for the team of developers to continue to track popularity and demand over time.
