I have had the Sense for a week. It was working great until today. I went for my walk and the GPS wouldn't connect. Why would this be???

Hello @trala19. Nice to see you around! @Rich_Laue It's also nice to see you around and thanks for your input!
Thank you for the detailed information. Adding to the post above, I'd like to let you know that there are some additional tips that will help with the GPS connection. For more information, I recommend visiting the following help article: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
On a side note, as mentioned on the post above, if you haven't restarted your Sense, I recommend following the steps here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps.

@trala19 it just does that sometimes. If it doesn't want to connect for a long time I suggest restarting tracking. Eventually, it will connect. Unfortunately, there is no fix for unstable GPS, and clouds, trees, and buildings have very little to do with it (otherwise other GPS devices would experience similar issues which I haven't observed as Garmin, Suunto, and my mobile phone track without issues while Sense struggles). Not much else can be really done about that.

You can't compare your tracker to the phone, your phones antenna is very large compared to the antenna in the tracker.
This means the tracker may have a harder time getting a fix on to 4 satellites

@Rich_Laue I also compared to two other watches which experience no such issues.

Here is my sense, versus the galaxy Active 2.
2% error difference.
I'm not sure about the antenna on the Active.
Just pointing out the GPS is line of sight, and if anything causes a deflection or change in speed of the signal from one satellite the position marked will be off.
When outside on a clear day, accuracy with a phone should be withon 5 meters.
