As shown below my Fitbit sense does not recognise iPhone Spotify app as a player. In saying that it still sees other players like Spotify Apple TV, we player etc.

Restarting iPhone twice fixes the issue, but not for long before it appears again

After fiddling with it for a while realised, turning airplane mode on and off  after few seconds is the most effective workaround..looks like issue occurs when the internet connection breaks on the mobile abruptly and it doesn’t always come back up even if internet is back. So it seems the airplane mode forces the iPhone to sync back with the sever .

Hi @deendilan. It's good to see you around the forums.

Thanks for the steps tried prior to posting and for the picture provided. While this is odd, could you confirm if you've logged into your Spotify account in the Fitbit app? Does this happen only when playing Spotify on your iPhone? Or do you have the same issue with other music apps playing on your iPhone?

In the meantime, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. On the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Sense > Apps > Spotify and uninstall this app.
  2. Remove the Sense from the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and restart your Sense.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  5. Install the Spotify app one more time. Then tap the Settings icon > Log in and follow the on-screen instructions to log in to your Spotify Premium account.
  6. Open the Spotify app on your phone and begin playing music.
